Brink’s main feature is its “SMART” (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) movement system. One context-sensitive button lets you parkour your way through the future city in which this first-person shooter is set.

Hit it and look down to slide under a security checkpoint’s beams. Hit it and look up to hurdle a railing. Hit it and look further upwards to straddle the railing, push off and haul up and over a hanging sign.

If immediately accessible and flowing movement weren’t enough of a draw, Brink uses state-of-the-art graphics and physics and is primarily about online shooter action – with eight player co-op modes.
